COSMIC ATLAS - Capstone Project

  • Cosmic Atlas is a top-down roguelike shooter that takes place in a futuristic era in our solar system. Humans have entered the era of interstellar exploration and are trying to expand their reach in the solar system. Play as an elite cowboy, travel to other planets and discover new life forms. Defeat the hostile ones and make friends along the way.

  • Work:

    • Designed new features for the games and closely collaborated with 3 programmers to successfully implement them.fd

    • Developed enemies pertaining to the style and the environment of different planets. Created audio effects, assets for particular attacks and particle effects.

    • Designed and implemented the tutorial level and balance the procedurally generated levels. Created UI elements for instructions.

    • As the project manager of the team, scheduled weekly meetings for the Art and the Dev team to share ideas. Delegated tasks to team members and hold teams accountable for milestone deadlines.

    • Researched and implemented the concept of Educating with Level Design in the game.

    • Implemented Main Menu and Controls Menu for the game. Created UI and audio effects for the same.

    • Developed a dynamic weather system that switches between methane rain and strong winds on Titan( moon of Saturn ).

    • Audio - Audacity and online asset packs

    • Characters and Environments - Photoshop and online asset packs
